DOM TubingDOM, or Drawn Over Mandrel, is the process in which the tube is finished. It is considered a high quality tubing constructed from SAE 1020 or 1026 mild steel. The cold drawn process provides the tube with better dimensional tolerances, improved surface finish, and the strongest weld strength achievable. This is the same high-quality tubing that we use on all our in-house components, delivering excellent strength, while remaining formable and easy to weld. A.R.T. does NOT stock or accept ANY low-quality tubing from China or charge any unnecessary fees such as “cut charges” for normal tubing orders.
